Description:	Go to www.alfahikeforhope.org to register, start a team or sponsor a hiker Hike for Hope + 5k on 4/14/2012! Join us for a fun day supporting our community! 5k, hike, yoga, and Zuumba - all at the beautiful Morganton Greenway! ALFA’s annual Hike for Hope +5k benefits ALFA's mission to improve the lives and health of those affected by HIV/AIDS while preventing transmission through education and testing. All funds raised during this event stay in Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Lincoln, Watauga and Wilkes Counties. Goals for Hike for Hope: To demonstrate compassion and care for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS in our service area; To increase HIV/AIDS testing, awareness and prevention education messages; To raise funds to fund HIV/AIDS programs at ALFA; To increase the visibility of ALFA as an organization and its mission in our nine county service area; To recruit runners / hikers / walkers to participate in Hike for Hope +5k from ALFA’s nine-county service area.
